Business Partner Interview - EL Builders

EL builders have been a Northern Minnesota custom home builder that build small, medium and large custom residential homes, lake homes, cottages and cabins since 2003. Eric Larson is not just another builder. He's built his business by providing quality craftsmanship along with helping his clients through the building process from start to finish.  Eric Larson, owner and founder of EL builders was born and raised in the Lakes Area, with the exception of 3 years in the US Army.  He and his family proudly call this home and wouldn’t live anywhere but here in MN.  Our community and surroundings are what makes this area so desirable for everyone to visit, raise a family and retire. Eric is a general contractor.  He and his crew help create & build the dream of living in this naturally beautiful area and make this home for those seeking the same qualities of life that make this community the best!

Some of the things that Eric values about WAPOA is the mission and stewardship in leaving the lakes in better standards for future generations.  Being in front of changes and helping remedy past negligence help make our communities better for our children  He also respects and appreciates that WAPOA supports the small businesses that make our community and culture so strong.   WAPOA realizes that hands-on small businesses that are locally grown, operated and licensed professionals are the best value and choice for anyone seeking the Up North life.  He also likes that WAPOA is solidly involved with education and getting the word out about sensible lake practices.   Education is the foundation to positive change and getting the community onboard with supporting healthy lakes and nature.  The local DNR has rules and regulations that most people need to be educated on; the distance from watercraft from shorelines, other boats, and loons/wildlife education will make lake living better for everyone.  As a local of 47 years, I see too often people uneducated running wake-boats and jet-skis at all hours, impacting neighbors, wildlife and the peacefulness and tranquility of our lakes.
