Business Partner Interview: Waste Partners
Waste Partners was founded as a partnership between Eric Loge and his father, Gary in 2000. They both had extensive knowledge in the industry. Eric (pictured in the center) managed operations for a large national hauler in the Metro and in Brainerd, and Gary previously owned Poor Gary’s Disposal out of Brainerd. They recognized an opportunity in the Lakes Area and took the leap. Eric’s two sons, Drey and Jace (pictured left and right) partnered with Eric in 2022. The entire Waste Partners family feels it has truly been a blessing to live and work in an area many only come to vacation as well as contribute to the quality of life in this great community.
In general, waste removal services enhance the natural world for all of us. Containerizing and collecting waste creates a cleaner and safer environment for all to enjoy. They are also one of the largest recyclers in the Lakes Area. In fact, they are the only hauler to collect, bale, and ship fibers (carboard & mixed paper) directly to recycling markets for reuse. In alignment with their recycling efforts, they make it a priority to educate the public on recycling and waste when possible. They often meet with various civic organizations, display at various shows, and teach fun informative lessons at local schools. This is all backed up by their effort to support local organizations such as WAPOA (and over 70 other local organizations) whose missions are to improve and strengthen the Lakes Area by being responsible stewards of our local water resources for generations to come.
Drey Loge, one of the owners of Waste Partners feels we all can improve the lakes, land and community by preventing pollution. “Keeping folks vigilant to ensuring the products they brought to the beach or out on the boat are contained and disposed of properly. Littering the waters and shorelines is not only harmful to the environment, but also degrades the natural beauty of our area that draws so many here.”
